Title: Executive Education Program – Building Portfolios with Impact: A Workshop on Creating and Managing Impact Investment Strategies

Jointly offered by CUHK Business School & University of Chicago Booth School of Business, this special executive education course to engage impact investors, NGO executives, family offices, and other stakeholders.  It features coursework and case studies covering impact investing, due diligence, deal structuring, portfolio construction, and impact measurement. These skills will be applied to write an investment proposal and to prepare a business pitch with Hong Kong social enterprises. Attendees will then work in groups to conduct analyses and present investment recommendations to a mock investment committee made up of institutional investors.

After taking the course, the attendees will be able to:
•  Understand in greater depth social businesses, impact investment, and any gaps in Hong Kong’s specific ecosystem;
•  Evaluate and consult with a social venture/project; 
•  Write an investment proposal and pitch to investors/funding agencies; and
